Hư cấu che giấu sự thật – The truth deflected by a lie
Em không đủ chữ Nhớ anh
Hôm nay, em nhường, yêu anh.
anh là thói quen trống rỗng
chống mãi cõi rỗng này sao?
tình yêu, nhiều lúc, quá thường
—
love is so often, rather, common
Quân tử thua trận không ca
Is it not better to be loved wholly in one heart than it is to be in pieces in a thousand frivolous hearts?
Chừng nào nhớ hết nước mắt
vui còn anh làm em buồn.
gió kia có hương người tình
“như thuở tôi cùng em thinh lặng ngồi” Vũ Hoàng Thư
Môi anh đẫm máu lòng em.
Con cừu: trong chảo, một mình.
Trăng lên: máu ứa tình ta.
Môi em: thu vàng, mấy mùa.
The legend of Ernest Hemingway, winning a bet on writing a flash fiction with six letters; daily reminds me of how powerful language could be:
“For sale: baby shoes, never worn”
The portrayal of complexity through the simplicity of language.
I believe this is why Quinn is so adamantly fervent about Trịnh Công Sơn lyrics and Lê ̀Vĩnh Tài’s poetry.
Here is an example of a flash fiction I wrote a while back:
Stop bleeding: old age, new wife.

Thanks so much for your great post!! I love that story about Hemingway! It is rumored that’s what happened! It’s hard to read those SIX WORDS” as the shortest novel in the world with imagining everything that lies unsaid behind them! Bravo, My Dear!!!
