the muse

no one bothers to weigh her

because she’s so light

she hops around on the grass

trying hard to scrape up what’s left in the passing breeze

a song

making even the grains of dust as light as her

dream of blooming

.

không ai đem nàng đi cân ký

vì nàng nhẹ hều 

và hay nhảy lò cò trên cỏ 

quét trong gió 

một bài hát

làm những hạt bụi cũng nhẹ như nàng

mơ mộng nở hoa

 


Lê Vĩnh Tài, the poet and translator born in 1966 in Buon Ma Thuot, Daklak, Vietnam. The retired doctor is still a resident of the Western Highlands and a businessman in Buon Ma Thuot.

Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm, the blogger, poet, and translator, was born in 1971 in Phu Nhuan, Saigon, Vietnam. The pharmacist currently lives and works in Western Sydney, Australia.
