In someone else’s shoes

A poem for kids in Vietnamese by Nguyễn Lãm Thắng

In someone else’s shoes

Tiny tiny feet
Learning how to walk
In papa’s shoes
Dragging each foot

Though you’re tripping
You’re laughing
Because you love
Being in papa’s shoes.

Đi giày

Đôi chân bé xíu
Mới chập chửng thôi
Xỏ vào giày bố
Vừa đi vừa lôi

Vấp chân, bé ngã
Không khóc, bé cười
Vì bé ưa thích
Làm người lớn thôi.
