love is no deception
or the clouds delusions
like no lie is the past
or the children illusions
`
no bullet
the truth is more painful
than any bullet
`
the truth could change the world
new found happiness is no
deception
`
the poem is no lie
it begins in a flurry
never faltering is the wind against wickedness

like her
as she threw everything away
when she left

yêu không phải lời nói dối
mây trên trời không phải lời nói dối
quá khứ không phải lời nói dối
những đứa con không phải lời nói dối
`
không phải viên đạn
nhưng sự thật đau hơn cả viên đạn
`
nó có thể thay đổi cả thế giới
hạnh phúc
một lần nữa cũng không phải lời nói dối
`
bài thơ không phải lời nói dối
nó bắt đầu thổi
và gió nhìn chằm chằm vào cái ác

Lê Vĩnh Tài, the poet and translator born in 1966 in Buon Ma Thuot, Daklak, Vietnam. The retired doctor is still a resident of the Western Highlands and a businessman in Buon Ma Thuot.
Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm, the blogger, poet, and translator, was born in 1971 in Phu Nhuan, Saigon, Vietnam. The pharmacist currently lives and works in Western Sydney, Australia.
