A poem in Vietnamese by Đinh Trường Chinh
Translator: Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm
Art: Đinh Trường Chinh

Waking up

in the middle of the night

.

Rolling in a corner

head kicked in

.

To lay back down

dreams bound for the garbage bin

.

Tomorrow

all anew

a beer can

smashed

.

Drink then

The rest of my shadow

.

_____

Bật dậy

giữa bóng tối

.

Đá đầu mình lăn lóc

góc tường

.

Nằm xuống

vất giấc mơ vào thùng rác

.

Ngày mai

có thể mọi thứ được tái sinh

như một lon bia

bẹp dí

.

Tôi lại uống hết

bóng mình

.
