A poem in Vietnamese by Lê Vĩnh Tài

– Poetry understands that death is also a noun
to name the state of an affair
.
The way a child needs his father
Poetry also needs someone to carry and gather
It. Into this world
Death is another name for poetry
Some think poetry will not die
Like a caterpillar
Poetry measures every living moment
Like a flower
Poetry numbers each blooming petal
Poetry stopped breathing
But they are still afraid of ghosts
They refuse to let go
Let poetry die?
