the poem
like how now and then the stocks hit rock bottom
the poem with the fragility of life on a graze
shatter
the poem in cramped sadness grazed
unable to step aside
in disappearing dreams
the poem is crushed against each other
and life is fragile
sadness tight
love shall touch us
makes what’s broken whole…
bài thơ
như chứng khoán vài ba lần chạm đáy
có khi là cuộc sống mong manh làm bài thơ chạm
vào và vỡ
có khi là nỗi buồn chật chội làm bài thơ chạm vào
vì không thể né sang một bên
nhưng khi giấc mơ tan
làm bài thơ chùng lại
nhưng cuộc sống mong manh
như nỗi buồn chật chội
yêu thương sẽ va chạm chúng ta
làm lành những gì đã vỡ..

Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm, the blogger, poet, and translator, was born in 1971 in Phu Nhuan, Saigon, Vietnam. The pharmacist currently lives and works in Western Sydney, Australia.
