the brutal noon breeze
twisted sinister glance 
pierced the void between 
the dual light
eyelids in ashes

I’m burning with despair
weave your fingers into mine
allow my hair to drape over your body
allow my blood to throb through your vein
in the death of you dissolving
an infinite farewell

silent pain
no one will ever know the distance between us

IM LẶNG BIỆT LY

cơn gió ban trưa
tàn bạo
xoáy cái nhìn nham hiểm
vào khoảng rỗng giữa hai làn ánh sáng
mi mắt đã tro

em cháy không nguôi niềm tuyệt vọng
đan những ngón tay em vào tay anh
xoã những ngọn tóc em trên thân thể anh
ròng ròng máu em chảy trong huyết mạch anh
tan vào anh cái chết
cuộc biệt ly vào vô cùng

im lặng đau
không ai biết chúng ta xa nhau

Đinh Thị Như Thuý, born 16-9-1965 in Hue,Vietnam. The Vietnamese poet attended high school in Danang, and university in Dalat, then was a literature teacher in Krong Pac district, Dak Lak province. Currently, she works at the Union of Literature and Arts of Da Nang city. She also used the pseudonyms Như Thuý, Như Dã Quỳ.

Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm, the blogger, poet, and translator, was born in 1971 in Phu Nhuan, Saigon, Vietnam. The pharmacist currently lives and works in Western Sydney, Australia.
