an anthem for the forgotten
for those abandoned by their country
died at sea, in re-education camps
anthem
for the survival of babes after their vaccinations
continuing education after the loss of their homes
It’s not something one
could hide
since justice won’t hesitate
evil has nowhere to run
no place to hide…

Công lý
là bài hát cho sự lãng quên
cho những người bị đất nước bỏ rơi
đã chết trên biển cả, trong trại cải tạo
bài hát
cho đứa trẻ được tiếp tục sống sau khi tiêm vaccine
tiếp tục đi học sau khi mất nhà
không phải những gì chúng ta
có thể che giấu
vì công lý không do dự
cái ác không có nơi nào để chạy
và không có nơi để trốn…
Lê Vĩnh Tài, the poet and translator born in 1966 in Buon Ma Thuot, Daklak, Vietnam. The retired doctor is still a resident of the Western Highlands and a businessman in Buon Ma Thuot.
Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm, the blogger, poet, and translator, was born in 1971 in Phu Nhuan, Saigon, Vietnam. The pharmacist currently lives and works in Western Sydney, Australia.
