cuộc sống thật tầm thường nếu bạn chỉ bình thường
sách vở và tình dục, tưởng gay go như vậy
con cái của mẹ tôi và con cái của bạn
khác nhau hay không là những gì đã được trao
tôi dám nói rằng những con chữ đã tiết lộ bạn
đừng nản lòng
kiến thức của bạn không chỉ dành cho riêng bạn
bạn chia sẻ nó đừng có cố đào sâu
bởi vì tôi yêu bạn cũng như những người khác
tất cả đều như nhau
Mediocre is the average life
school books and sex, such strife
My mother’s children and your children
different or not is what was given
Dare I say the letters gave you away
don’t be dismay
Your knowledge don’t save it just for yourself
share it don’t delve
Because I love you like the others
all the same
Lê Vĩnh Tài, the poet and translator born in 1966 in Buon Ma Thuot, Daklak, Vietnam. The retired doctor is still a resident of the Western Highlands and a businessman in Buon Ma Thuot.
Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm, the blogger, poet, and translator, was born in 1971 in Phu Nhuan, Saigon, Vietnam. The pharmacist currently lives and works in Western Sydney, Australia.
