Beyond the sleep of winter
In the middle of summer
Awake are the red blooms
Boundless foliage

An endless sprinkling shower
An endless trip
A receding summer in each turn
Rain not on skin
Rain steeping
Rain seeping
Rain overflowing
Rain soaked through
To the bone
Like the child messiah
Rain crying out
Don’t look back
Never look back

A possible yes
How to slip away and escape
The curse
The literary circle treelined oasis

Treelined oasis
A pair of dark eyes
Like the canopy atop a sunny hill
Upon birth
Who was the creator of such sad eyes
Such pits of hopelessness

Đinh Thị Như Thuý
Đinh Thị Như Thuý, born 16-9-1965 in Hue,Vietnam. The Vietnamese poet attended high school in Danang, and university in Dalat, then was a literature teacher in Krong Pac district, Dak Lak province. Currently, she works at the Union of Literature and Arts of Da Nang City. She also used the pseudonyms Như Thuý, Như Dã Quỳ.
Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm, the blogger, poet, and translator, was born in 1971 in Phu Nhuan, Saigon, Vietnam. The pharmacist currently lives and works in Western Sydney, Australia.
