A time of Age
a bomb

In the wind your cool adage
upon dusk
the sorrow of your dying light

In the specks of falling dust
your power, your might

Into their lungs, they inhaled it
Covet it
In copies and repetitions
They hate you, but you’re their religion

The sincerity of a pounding waterfall
The realization at dawn

You are the spawn
of the soul
you’re bold
your story told
the stories so old

In their reflection
they’ve totally forgotten.

Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm, the blogger, poet, and translator, was born in 1971 in Phu Nhuan, Saigon, Vietnam. The pharmacist currently lives and works in Western Sydney, Australia.

I am? 🤣🤭. You are beautifully “distracting” no doubt 🤭🤭; but it’s actually interesting that you think I was teasing you and wasn’t just compelled to compliment your poeticism 👍😂🥰

You were “compelled” were you? 🙂

Hahaa, I told you that you did a great job and that I liked your poem. I thought that’s just people do on a blog when they like something, but was there a specific way I was supposed to feel? 😄. I am curious 🤔🤔

Your vernacular is rather unique, it piqued my curiosity, most comments are rather like they were AI generated. Unless, you’ve been expelled from the AI Academy of Conversation. Hence, I feel compelled to reply as one also expelled from society in general. I hope that was clear. 🙂

🤣 yes it was, you made that perfectly clear, I actually chuckled a bit, and thanks for your compliment; I appreciate that alot 🤗🤗.

I was thinking that you were probably doubting yourself about the poem and thought that I was just teasing you that it was remarkable lol. But nah, I liked what you did with it lol

I’m too old for self-doubt, it’s either terrible or good. Thanks for the conversation. Just messing with you yeah. Happy days to you.

If you are too old it certainly doesn’t show 👍😂☺️. I hope that I am as youthful as you one day when I get too old haha 🤟😂🤣. And you are welcome; I appreciate that you were messing with me 🤭💕. We definitely don’t have to be serious all the time, so it’s good to have these moments 🌼👍🙌😄😇🌺.

Very well written – by the way, so many forget that age is a beautifying development and not a terrifying monster. Not even flowers start out as the prettiest highlight, it comes with age. 🙂

Your eyes are mad cool. Do you wear some sort of contacts or is it naturally mystical?

Yeah, I wear mystical contact lens. I use them to lure people into buying my licenced drugs. 😉
