She is graduating without a gown | Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm

The child, this child of mine
May you always, always be kind
Oh this child, this child of mine
May the world be forever thine

She is graduating without a gown
The pandemic is a hovering grey and sound
Steeped to the soul pushing us down
Oh child, oh child of mine

Pick a star if I could polish its hind
On the dark side for sure it still shines
Your birthday, no fancy dinners, fancy wine
Baby, you’re the star, oh baby of mine.

  1. Nice!

Our local uni had a three-year catch-up graduation this year, with classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022 all getting to have shared ceremonies this year.
