that was when 
a poet plagiarised an anthem
a song
about the shaken faith of the world
because of something so small
tiny tiny 
like a virus

we didn’t have a cough
with a negative test result in our hand
lazily we took a stroll down the street
see where we could meet
join a friend for a drink
plotted
waited for the moment

composed poetry on the sidewalk 
or we climbed on the roof
appreciated the flowers
the sunlight

until a missile was fired
into a city completely shut down
viewed evil like we would view the rotting of flesh
amidst
desolation

over our head
the howl of time
a wind from hell

“cũng theo hư không mà thôi…” 

đó là lúc nhà thơ đạo nhạc
một bài hát 
về thế giới này
khi niềm tin bị lung lay 
vì một cái gì rất nhỏ 
xíu xiu như con vi
rút đó 

chúng ta không bị ho
với tờ phiếu xét nghiệm âm tính trên tay
chúng ta bình yên tản bộ
kiếm chỗ
ngồi chờ bạn bè rủ uống rượu
ủ mưu 
chờ cơ hội 

chúng ta làm thơ
trên vỉa hè hay leo lên mái nhà 
ngắm hoa
và nắng 

cho đến khi tên lửa bắn 
vào những thành phố đã bị đóng cửa
nhìn cái ác như những xác người thối rữa
giữa
hoang vu 

nghe thời gian hú ở trên đầu 
như ngọn gió
vẫn thổi về từ địa ngục
