her sunset is like
everyone else’s
she sketches the sky
with a flame
in a burnt orange red
but people are oblivious
to the trail behind her
a world covered in pot-ash
hoàng hôn của nàng
cũng giống như mọi người
nàng vẽ bầu trời
với ngọn lửa
cháy màu cam
lam màu đỏ
nhưng phía sau nàng
là cả một thế giới
dính đầy nhọ nồi
mà không ai biết…

Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm, the blogger, poet, and translator, was born in 1971 in Phu Nhuan, Saigon, Vietnam. The pharmacist currently lives and works in Western Sydney, Australia.
