A poem in Vietnamese by Trần Thiên Thị
Translator: Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm

oh white-eye warbling
perched on the pomme-de-lait
where have you left your bird songs?
here’s a home freshly built out of mulberry
if only you could stay
tweet till you may startle the live in caterpillars
so a poem as old as time may once again have a new life

July 2022

Trần Thiên Thị, a poet from Danang, Vietnam.
