A poem in Vietnamese by Trần Thị Linh Nhân
Translator: Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm
candy the soul of chocolate
a composition the soul of the guitar
the afternoon the soul of the wind
you the soul of literature
sweet candy to numb tongue
music to soothe my sorrow
the afternoon where you are missing from me
and you for me… a kiss.

Viên kẹo ngọt mang hồn sô cô la
Bài hòa tấu mang hồn guitar
Buổi chiều mang hồn của gió
Anh mang hồn thi ca
Kẹo ngọt cho em tê lưỡi
Tấu khúc cho em nỗi buồn
Buổi chiều cho em nỗi nhớ
Và anh cho em… nụ hôn.
