I see people not by the colour of their skin
I see people not by the colour of their eyes
I see people not by their vernacular
I see people not by their sex
I see people not by their hair
their lips
their teeth
their nose.

I see people by their heartbeat
I see people by the expression in their eyes
their sympathy
their breath
I see people 
with the same red blood as mine
the blood dripping down this life.

I see people in the dark of night
I see people in the light
I see people in ruin
I see people in hope
I see myself in people
I see in people
I.

tôi không nhìn người bằng màu da

tôi không nhìn người bằng màu mắt
tôi không nhìn người bằng tiếng nói
tôi không nhìn người bằng giới tính
tôi không nhìn người bằng tóc
bằng môi
bằng răng
bằng mũi.

tôi nhìn người bằng tim đập
tôi nhìn người bằng mắt trao
bằng cảm thông
bằng nhịp thở
tôi nhìn người 
cùng màu máu đỏ
như máu tôi đã chảy xuống cuộc đời.

tôi nhìn người trong đêm đen
tôi nhìn người trong ánh sáng
tôi nhìn người trong tan hoang
tôi nhìn người trong hy vọng
tôi nhìn tôi trong người
tôi nhìn người 
có tôi.
