Nguyễn Bắc Sơn (1944 – 4/8/2015) the poet was born and died Nguyễn Văn Hải, in Phan Thiết, Bình Thuận.
Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm, the blogger, poet, and translator, was born in 1971 in Phu Nhuan, Saigon, Vietnam. The pharmacist currently lives and works in Western Sydney, Australia.
