A poem in Vietnamese by Nguyễn Cường
Translation by Nguyễn Thị Phương Trâm
For years we’ve faced each other
Life’s brew emptied then refilled
Old tales of months years are still
Budding bright as we’ve grown white
Midst a singe colourful life
Saved in us moments of light
Err morrow ever devide
Our hearts by memories warm.

**”In your laughter, the springs are hidden; in your silence, the depths of peace.
When you stand by my feels lighter; a friend who can halt even the fiercest storms.
Your name transcends time; a force lifting me with its love—my best friend!
You are the one who writes poems into my every story, the incomparable companion who lights my path with your presence.”**
