the smile and tears
hid sadness

all the fortitude
me alive
me surviving

my past 
my story
shows I may live
through the hardships of another life

after the rape
after the torture
after the many friendships
after the friendships are all gone

me surviving
will survive
in what’s left of this journey
those who have been in my life
shall see

they carried me
in the darkest hour
always a light
shimmering in its beauty

I ran away
but they keep looking for a kind of light
like gunpowder
continues to ignite within their hearts and minds
a kind of light
that’s no longer
in my life

only the faint twitches within my muscles
remind me
I’m still alive

mỗi nụ cười
mỗi giọt nước mắt
chỉ để che giấu nỗi buồn

tất cả sức mạnh
tôi đang sống
tôi sống sót

quá khứ của tôi
câu chuyện của tôi
nó cho thấy tôi có thể sống
ngay cả có kiếp sau đau khổ

đã biến mất
khỏi đời tôi

và các cơn co giật nhẹ nhàng
nhắc nhở rằng
tôi còn sống…
